Couples Nutrition Program

Our personalized program with 4-11 sessions is ideal for couples with:

  • Different approaches to the same goal: You may not always agree on the best way to get there.
  • Conflicting food preferences: It can be tricky to plan meals you both enjoy.
  • Time and schedule mismatches: Busy or different routines can make shared meals harder to manage.
  • Social and family temptations: Outings and gatherings can sometimes get in the way of your plan.
  • Sharing responsibilities: Planning and cooking can feel unbalanced at times.
  • Grocery shopping differences: It’s easy for plans to change once you’re in the store.
  • Portion size differences: Finding amounts that work for both of you can be challenging.
  • Nutrition skills: You may each have different levels of knowledge or interest in nutrition and cooking.

I selected a South Asian dietician since they have a good understanding of our daily meals. Nishaat was able to easily integrate the two cultural meals (Western/ Canadian + South Asian) and be able to provide a well rounded balanced approach to proper/nutritional eating. Her approach to good eating is education on food and there is no shame . She assists you in deciding where your calories come from (you can have the wine and desserts!). She is very knowledgeable about food and its nutritional value and has a non confrontational approach to calorie expenditure (ie exercise). This is not just a weight loss fad - its learning how to eat healthy, how to take your knowledge and apply it at restaurants/parties and all while living life. I have lost most of the weight that I wanted to loose and we are now fine tuning to get to the last bit.
